2012 Mission Hospital Golf Classic – a success!
MISSION VIEJO, Ca (June 26, 2012) – The 2012 Mission Hospital Golf Classic Presented by Infiniti of Mission Viejo at Coto de Caza Golf Club on Monday was a rousing success, as golfers enjoyed a gorgeous day on the course while raising valuable funds to assist the hospital’s life-saving work – and gave away a car in the process!

Over 125 volunteers helped the 100 sponsors and 288 golfers raise over $250,000 for the 20th annual tournament, which has garnered over $3 million for Mission Hospital since its inception. The event featured awards, dinner and silent and live auctions. At the end of the event, Brian Cronin was the proud winner of a new car, when his winning ticket was randomly picked from nearly 1,400 opportunity drawing tickets sold prior to the event.
Players enjoyed a beautiful day of golf at the popular South County course. In addition to its tournament sponsorship, Infiniti of Mission Viejo held a hole-in-one contest on the par three 8 th hole on the South Course. 18 groups of four golfers made the attempt to win a 2012 Infiniti G37 sedan, but unfortunately, there were no holes-in-one to be had. But everyone enjoyed an afternoon of sun and fun at the Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed course.

Funds raised at the tournament go toward Mission Hospital’s new comprehensive campaign, Mission500, to invest in life-saving, state-of-the-art technology and to expand facilities and needed services to provide the most advanced care to area residents. With two facilities in South Orange County, Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach, Mission Hospital has been serving the needs of the community for over 40 years.
