Aliso Niguel High School – winners of the 2011 Inspired Performance of the Game
As we get ready for the 2012 Infiniti of Mission Viejo Inspired Performance of the Game on Cox3′s high school football coverage, we look back at last year’s winners – the Aliso Niguel High School Wolverines!
Infiniti of Mission Viejo presented the season-long COX3 Game of the Week Inspired Performance of the Game award to Aliso Niguel High School at the team’s year-end football banquet in Aliso Viejo Thursday night.
Infiniti of Mission Viejo general manager Dave Anton presented a check for $1000 toward athletic programs to Aliso Niguel football coach Kurt Westling and Principal Chris Carter.
“We’d like to congratulate the Wolverines on winning the Inspired Performance of the Game,” said Anton. “On behalf of Infiniti of Mission Viejo, I can’t tell you how excited we are to be a part of the landscape of Orange County high school football.”
Each Friday night, during COX3’s high school football Game of the Week, the Infiniti of Mission Viejo Inspired Performance of the Game was presented by the COX3 media team during the fourth quarter of the game, highlighting the top play in each of the 12 local games shown by COX.
The first week of the season featured a Sea View versus Pacific Coast League showdown between Aliso Niguel and Woodbridge. The Inspired Performance of the Game was a 40-yard touchdown pass from Wolverine quarterback Nick Carducci to Kyle Paris – the first of three touchdown tosses for Carducci that night – as the Wolverines earned a 41-35 victory.
At the end of the regular season, viewers were encouraged to visit http://www.infinitimv.com/COX to vote for their favorite play and Aliso Niguel won by a landslide – garnering nearly 25% of the total vote. Principal Carter appreciates the award – and the additional funds for the school’s athletic programs.
“We would like to thank Infiniti of Mission Viejo for the $1,000 check and would also like to thank both COX Cable and Infiniti for their constant support of high school athletics in Orange County. We are proud the Aliso Niguel Wolverines won the play of the year, and to have the play be from our two of our captains, Nick Carducci and Kyle Paris. They had outstanding performances throughout the year and represent our school and community well.”
